James O’Donnell, Anthony Jones and Suzzanne Gardener will all take part in the four day festival starting on 15 June.
The tour is multi-terrain and it incorporates a 10k race, a six mile race, a half marathon and it concludes with a seven mile road race through Hyde town centre and the surrounding area on the final day.
When asked about the tiring and muscle straining tour, Mr Jones jokingly said “the part he was most looking forward to was the end of it on the Sunday.”
With training well underway and the tour just five weeks away, Mr O’Donnell said “‘I am hungry for it now and attempting this challenge sums up where we are all at mentally in life.
“This is a great opportunity for us to help Maggie’s and as tough as the tour will be, nothing can compare to the feeling of being told that you have cancer.”
Maggie’s Centres provide free practical, emotional, and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends.
They are currently in the process of building a new care centre in Oldham which has been designed by high acclaimed architects dRMM and generously funded by The Stoller Charitable Trust.
The Centre Fundraising Manager for
Maggie’s Oldham, Laura Tomlinson, said “the new centre is coming along extremely well.
“At Maggie’s we rely solely on the generosity of supporters and their donations, fundraising, and gifts in wills. We can’t thank the team at O’Donnell’s enough for their support.”
The new care centre is set to open on 9 June.
The law firm, based in Lees, have decided that they are going to sponsor a different local charity every year.
